Enough Paparazzi...Please!

We aren't sure what all the commotion is about but whenever we go anywhere we seem to attract ALOT of attention. It used to just be when we'd go to Target with mommy. A bunch of people would stop us and look at us and ask mommy "are they triplets?"...but now we've noticed everywhere we go we get all of the attention. At the pool yesterday everyone wanted to talk to us and at church all of our family friends want to see us.

But the oddest part has been the picture taking. Mommy in particular has been snapping pictures of us all day long. She even sneaks and gets pictures without us noticing! We've decided because we seem to be so popular mommy must be selling our photos to the tabloids for extra money. What else would she be doing with all of those pictures? It used to be we had to make sure our faces were clean and we were in nice clothes to leave the house, but now with mommy working on "the inside" we have to make sure we look and act good ALL DAY LONG!

So...with that being said, here are a bunch of pictures mommy took of us in the past few weeks. She says she "doesn't sell them!" but we find that hard to believe. We know there is a demand.

"Soooo Big!"

Addison

Jack

This week we are all trying to show off all of our new skills. All of us can now stand up against the furniture and we are all trying to move around the floor on our tummies. Jordan is even starting to do things on his stomach! (which we all know is a very big "no, no!" for him) Jordan is also practicing standing with "no hands" as long as mommy or daddy will be there ready to catch him. Addison is really, really wanting to crawl...here's a video mommy got of her this week:

Jack has decided that simply saying "baba" when he's hungry and saying "dada" is just so boring so he has decided whistling is much more exciting. I know, I know you are all thinking "what? there is no way he can whistle!" (believe Addie and me...we couldn't believe it either). Mommy tried all day today to catch him with his new hidden talent but it was really hard. Listen closely and you can hear him whistle towards the end of the video.

Jordan not only loves to practice standing, he also found out he LOVES to lick (the rest of us don't get this?) anything and everything near him. Including us, mommy & daddy and ESPECIALLY...the glass slider.

We all also started eating teething biscuits for the first time this week. It sure is fun gumming them to death. Mommy always asks us if "that feels good on your gums because you're getting a toothy!" But we know that there aren't really teeth coming, but who wants to disappoint mommy again this week and they are kinda yummy!

Mommy's Cooking

Today mommy had us try her first batch of homemade baby food. Boy was that an adventure! Over the weekend we saw all the veggies and fruit she bought for our food and then on Sunday night we heard this super loud noise right as we were going to bed. It scared Addison, but Jordan assured her it wasn't a monster, instead he was pretty sure it was mommy "cooking" up our meal. We found out from Jack though that it was a blender. I guess she uses it to mix up our meals for us.
So today we finally got to try her food. She had us try peas. First, for the records let us say none of us LOVE peas anyways so that didn't help out the situation. Here are a few pictures mommy captured of us and our first encounters with the new food. We would prefer to leave each of our opinions on the food to ourselves because no one wants to hurt mommy's feelings...but you be the judge!

Jack would like to make one comment about the experience. He would like to ask mommy to let Gerber keep feeding us and let her focus on playing with us during the day. (So pretty much "don't quit your day job" but Jack told Addie NOT to type that).

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Boy did we have a fun-filled weekend! We had no idea what to expect for the 4th of July. We didn't get why mommy and daddy didn't do anything special for the 4th of May or the 4th of June? Anyways- all week they had been telling us that we were getting to go to a festival at a park to celebrate. When we woke up Saturday morning mommy & daddy told us "Happy 4th of July!" and had matching shirts for us to wear with flags on them. After our usual playtime, nap and then bottle we headed to the park to meet up with the Traaseths, Tjeltas and Grandma & Grandpa. When we got to the park we couldn't believe how many people were there! Daddy had to park so far away. Luckily we had our strollers with us to make the long walk.
At the festival we watched our cousins do the Cake Walk. None of them won us a cake though. Too bad because we were pretty sure daddy would've snuck us a bite of it if they would've won. Well, maybe 2/3s of us (Jack is allergic to milk so he probably wouldn't have gotten to try it!). After the cake walk we enjoyed time under the shade on our blankets with some toys. We also got to eat our peas outside, too. That was sure not how we usually eat our veggies.

After the festival we headed for dinner at a restaurant nearby. There were 20 of us all eating together at one table! Boy was that the longest table we'd ever seen. But guess what?! We all three got to sit in big kid high chairs and eat big kid finger foods. We ate bread and puffs and played with our toys. Addison seemed to have the most fun throwing her toys and food off of the table and watching mommy & daddy go get it. Jack was much more well behaved. He just ate and ate and ATE anything that was put in front of him. Meanwhile, Jordan got to go hang out with the really "big kids" at the far end of the table. After dinner, we headed home and to bed but we all overheard the rest of the table talking about going to watch "fireworks" whatever those were. We were so tired after a long, fun day outside we all passed out right when we got home. Although, Jack told us he swears he woke up because someone was bombing our house. We told him he was just having a bad dream.
Today we finished off our weekend by driving to our friend's (The Brunkow's) lake house. We spent the entire afternoon sitting by the lake on our blanket playing with a bunch of new toys mommy brought us and watching daddy jump off of the rope swing. We had such a fun time because we even got to taste beef jerky that Uncle Mark and daddy was eating. Mr Brunkow had made it and boy did we think it was good. Okay so Addison says that we can't say "we" because she didn't want to try it. Not to worry though, she was eating and eating all of the puffs and cheese crunchies mommy brought for all of us. I guess we've learned not to leave Addison alone with our snacks. She doesn't really like to share.

Here are more pictures from this weekend...Enjoy!

Little Miss Independent

We've been prepping for the 4th of July this week by becoming VERY independent from mommy. Addison seems to be the most independent (Jordan BEGS to differ). She decided this weekend to stop letting anyone give her her bottle. Instead she fusses and hits and pushes everyone's hands away that try to hold her bottle for her. So mommy told her "fine. hold your own bottle but don't make a mess on my floor!" So sure enough she holds it and tips is up really high when its getting towards the end. Sometimes she even tips it too far and it falls behind her onto the carpet...and dripping! Addie also hates sitting and playing with toys. Well, not the playing with toys part just she hates sitting. She always wants to be on the go, which really annoys the rest of us boys. We just want her to play like us. Instead she takes every, single toy we are playing with and then tosses it over her head. What is the point in that?! Then she'll usually lunge out to grab them and fall onto her tummy. She ALWAYS hollers when that happens. The rest of us just look at her in shock because we know the outcome before it happens.

Anyways...Jordan does not think that Addie is the most independent. Infact he wants all of you to remember he's been holding his own bottle for months and she's just getting it now?! SO...just to prove that he is one up on her he started holding his bottle one-handed. He also decided to show us two that he can stand! Can you believe that? We are only 8 months old, we should be trying to crawl not stand. But...we all know Jordan. He hates tummy time and hates being on his hands and knees so standing just is one step closer to walking first.

Jack tells us he has no urge to compete with us two on bottle holding and crawling or walking. He says he knows he'll be doing those things and why push it along? He did however show mommy he can hold his bottle but just chooses not to. Why waste the energy? Instead he puts all of his talents into eating. He definitely takes after mommy's side because boy do they like their food. He's the human garbage disposal of the group. He eats and eats and eats his jarred food until its gone or mommy finally stops feeding him. He never seems to give up! He also LOVES to try foods that need to be gnawed or chewed on. He loves his puffs and he loves the chunkier dinners mommy & daddy give him. He also LOVES his sippy cup...especially when mommy puts cold water in it. YUM! Here's a picture of him mommy gave us for the blog. Its him eating at his high chair for the first time last week.

Here are a few other pictures of us from the week. Mommy again was snapping like crazy so she doesn't miss a minute of the action. Everyone enjoy their 4th of July! We three can't wait to celebrate on Saturday...oh and Jack says "AND EAT A LOT!"
