<br />
<br />
A few weeks ago (I know, I know its been months since we've posted! So sorry, I blame it on mommy she's just such a slacker lately. She's always telling us "not now, I need the computer".) on a Saturday morning, mommy and daddy told us they had a surprise for us. They said we were going to pack up the car and head to a "parade". At the time we were all a little leery, since we had no idea what this "parade" is. Of course, since I am the oldest and wisest though, I assured Jordan and Addison that mommy and daddy <em>must</em> know what they are doing and that we should not worry about where they were taking us. <br />
<br />
On the way to the parade, we drove by Auntie Dawn's house which only made Addison even more annoyed. She loves going to her house and jumping on the trampoline, swinging and of course just snooping around. Mommy tried to tell her it was all okay, that she'd really love the parade and <em>carnival</em> we were heading to. Well, now once mommy mentioned a "carnival" and "rides" I knew exactly what kind of a fun day was ahead for us! <br />
<br />
We arrived at the Broiler fest (that's what mommy says it was called, I like to refer to it as "Grandma's Carnival" since its in the town she lives in.) around lunch time and were told to help daddy find a spot for us to sit. This really confused us all, because they wanted us to sit along the street! Up until this point, we've been told to stay away from the road because cars might hit us. Now we're sitting on the curb?! Things got even more interesting when the parade started. Mommy handed me a bag and told me to run out in the road when people threw out candy at us. Ummm...what?! Since when is it okay to <strong>A.</strong> Run in the road and<strong> B.</strong> Take candy from strangers? This really confused me, but if they said so, I really couldn't complain. <br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LyvS2CiXHpI/T-Db6Tv50RI/AAAAAAAAD50/j-b9TYPfGS4/s1600/IMG_9928.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LyvS2CiXHpI/T-Db6Tv50RI/AAAAAAAAD50/j-b9TYPfGS4/s320/IMG_9928.gif" width="213" /></a></div>
Needless to say, we had a blast at the parade getting candy, balloons and seeing a bunch of kids dressed up in fun costumes. My favorite was definitely the pirate ship. Addison of course loved the Sesame Street float. <br />
<br />
After the parade, we headed up the hill to the carnival and got to ride on a bunch of fun rides!! Jordan even met a girl while waiting to get on the train and she asked to sit next to him. So, he's already getting girlfriends. Mommy says "boy...are we in trouble!". Mommy and daddy ate some of the charcoal chicken (its supposedly the best around, we couldn't try it though) and then we ended our day with some ice cream sandwiches. <br />
<br />
Here's a few more pictures from the day...Enjoy!<br />

We all three got sick with a cold and then pink eye. I was disgusted when I first realized that Jordan and Jack had gunk all over their eyes. I assumed it was just because they're boys and gross. Then, when I woke up one morning (after a few days of a fever and runny nose) and couldn't open one of my eyes I realized pink eye can happen to anyone! Because we were all sick, all of our normally scheduled activities were cancelled. This just made for a very long week for us and for poor mommy who was stuck inside with us for hours on end.<br /><br /><br /><div><br /><div>Finally- by Friday, we started to feel a little better and we're able to go visit g'ma and g'pa. We were really excited to get out of the house! We only stayed for a few hours because Auntie Brittany called to say she was having her baby so g'ma had to leave for the hospital. We were happy though, because we are really loving babies lately. I acted all cool like I really didn't care about this new little girl entering our lives but really I'm a little excited to finally have a GIRL to hang out. </div><br />On Saturday morning around 2:30am, Auntie Brittany had little baby Emily. Mommy showed us a picture and she's really cute. Now, baby--er--I mean Noah is no longer the baby and has a little sister! Take a look at how cute she is...<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5729599828083819506" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Zmc-0ov4kPc/T4Ogr9oTQ_I/AAAAAAAAD5I/AWirAid7Aco/s400/IMG_8181.jpg" />Sunday, we spent the day at Auntie Dawn and Uncle Mark's house for dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt. We had such a fun time with our family and loved searching for eggs. We also learned to say "He is Risen!" Here's a few pictures of the weekend...enjoy<br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-czLst451zzo/T4OfWwvjCaI/AAAAAAAAD48/-B2xuGD7RlM/s1600/IMG_8209.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; Mommy and daddy just banned us from using the internet. Since we got our iPad (from memere & pepere- thank you!) we've been spending our time searching YouTube for videos to watch. I've become a huge "Angry Bird Addict" (according to daddy) So, between me wanting to play and watch all things Angry Birds and Jordan demanding to watch any home video on YouTube about Thomas & Lightening McQueen together we've been told we no longer get internet privileges.<br /><br /><br /><div>I tried to tell mommy that it only means that our blog will suffer, but she didn't budge on this one. I finally snuck the iPad into my room during "quiet time" (you read that right, we all stopped napping for mommy) just to get you this much!<br /></div><br /><br /><div>Here's a few pictures of us mommy got this week...enjoy!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5717640765029578322" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ybuotxSvciI/T1kj-4DhdlI/AAAAAAAAD1M/e0QVhPg6SfY/s400/IMG_7869.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 254px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5717639872372196754" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CRW25V8EYmA/T1kjK6paxZI/AAAAAAAAD00/4h6UGHFbFPY/s400/IMG_7880.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 290px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5717639903379440562" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-__q-BdXbnLw/T1kjMuKHw7I/AAAAAAAAD1A/sgaQGSsTZro/s400/IMG_7882.jpg" /><br /></div><br /><p><img class="right" alt="post signature" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/jennisajoy/OUAB/BLOG/theRipletssignaturecopy.jpg" /></p></div></div></div>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-59057204818219574022012-01-28T13:41:00.005-06:002012-01-28T13:58:39.851-06:00Cold, Snowy Days!<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nNwdxC6HrXg/TyRQGv0XOTI/AAAAAAAAD0c/jDJnWxo88aA/s1600/IMG_7281-2.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5702771105003419954" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nNwdxC6HrXg/TyRQGv0XOTI/AAAAAAAAD0c/jDJnWxo88aA/s400/IMG_7281-2.jpg" /></a> Its been a long, cold winter already! I know what you are thinking, "really? its just finally snowed!" Well try being a Riplet, it feels like we've been inside now for YEARS. As of January first, we haven't had a lot to do around here because our in-home therapy stopped. I was a little worried it was because I was being naughty or something (I swear I didn't make them leave, ask mommy!) but then I heard it was something about our health insurance switching companies and now we are no longer covered*. At first I liked having a break from school (so did Addie, she kept asking for more Elmo to watch and I didn't object), but once I realized it wasn't that nice outside to play AND I had all day to play with my toys...well the days got longer and longer!<br /><br />Lucky for us though, we started up again at our college program (CAP for those of you that remember us going last year) and we even decided to take Jack along with us this time. Its fun to get out of the house each day again and to be able to socialize with all of the college ladies. Addie says its not the same there without Vinny (she says to remind you that's her boyfriend), but she has fun.<br /><br />You'd think because we had all of this time on our hands that we'd be back to blogging full time again, right? Well, you have to remember we have to entertain mommy now all. day. long and that just gets so tiring! (don't tell her I said that, we pretend like its not a big deal)<br /><br />Anyways- after a week or two of really cold weather, we finally got lucky and found a day to go outside and play! It looks like July for me and August for Addison though, so we'll have quite a few months without it. Lucky for us though, mommy is helping keep some of the programs (by being our teacher) going so that we can stay on track!<br /><br /><br /><p><img class="right" alt="post signature" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/jennisajoy/OUAB/BLOG/theRipletssignaturecopy.jpg" /></p></div></div></div></div>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-49977465281915556242011-12-23T21:10:00.004-06:002011-12-23T21:27:56.061-06:00Its Almost Christmas...<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689528057786131202" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MQtpJcAbpSM/TvVDn8f14wI/AAAAAAAADzI/2rJiT7vOhfw/s400/IMG_7039.jpg" />This Christmas, as you rush around trying to get that perfect family photo...<br /><br /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689528063381824146" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PQN9zpA6Ltg/TvVDoRV9YpI/AAAAAAAADzU/LJwvD6gcfmE/s400/IMG_7045.jpg" />Stop to enjoy the cards you've received this year... <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689530471011544274" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TJxxdIkSxFg/TvVF0adnbNI/AAAAAAAADzg/Co7mJn1_FzQ/s400/IMG_7016.jpg" />remember the ornaments (and memories) of year's past...<br /><br /><div><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_JDAE-mGZLo/TvVDnnS0WgI/AAAAAAAADyw/AorsdxIsu-s/s1600/IMG_7018.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 266px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689528052094360066" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_JDAE-mGZLo/TvVDnnS0WgI/AAAAAAAADyw/AorsdxIsu-s/s400/IMG_7018.jpg" /></a> laugh at disaster instead of cry...<br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RjJPeBXRJZ8/TvVC9ketkTI/AAAAAAAADyg/sINJ5subRTg/s1600/IMG_7035.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689527329784434994" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RjJPeBXRJZ8/TvVC9ketkTI/AAAAAAAADyg/sINJ5subRTg/s400/IMG_7035.jpg" /></a> take a break if you need it...<br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-at_-c6BMVJ4/TvVC9qVKkbI/AAAAAAAADyY/unj22cQPU8c/s1600/IMG_7047.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689527331355005362" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-at_-c6BMVJ4/TvVC9qVKkbI/AAAAAAAADyY/unj22cQPU8c/s400/IMG_7047.jpg" /></a> pay attention to those small details that make this time of year so special...<br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IjSjOH9pv5I/TvVC9XsonRI/AAAAAAAADyM/nr46oP9ZtFY/s1600/IMG_7019.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689527326353169682" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IjSjOH9pv5I/TvVC9XsonRI/AAAAAAAADyM/nr46oP9ZtFY/s400/IMG_7019.jpg" /></a> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689527314993216226" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kJY248zHZiE/TvVC8tYNeuI/AAAAAAAADx0/bSWPS-7SmT0/s400/IMG_7033.jpg" />But most of all, don't forget the reason for this season...<br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-D2xmltwkI8Y/TvVC8pH7oFI/AAAAAAAADyA/klN5NpbziN8/s1600/IMG_7015.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 266px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689527313851195474" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-D2xmltwkI8Y/TvVC8pH7oFI/AAAAAAAADyA/klN5NpbziN8/s400/IMG_7015.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><blockquote><em>Luke 2<br /><br />The Birth of Jesus<br />1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register.<br />4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.<br /><br />8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”<br /><br />13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,<br /><br />14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,<br />and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”<br /><br />15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”<br /><br />16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. </em><br /><br /></blockquote><br /><br /><br /><br /><p><img class="right" alt="post signature" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/jennisajoy/OUAB/BLOG/theRipletssignaturecopy.jpg" /></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-82374602371910126442011-12-20T15:13:00.009-06:002011-12-20T17:39:42.128-06:00What To Expect {GIVEAWAY!}<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6AKU3Y_uJAk/TvEAaNxD8fI/AAAAAAAADxg/6oOpyuMn-dY/s1600/WTE%2BLOGO.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688328254717686258" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6AKU3Y_uJAk/TvEAaNxD8fI/AAAAAAAADxg/6oOpyuMn-dY/s400/WTE%2BLOGO.JPG" /></a><em>Mommy was offered the opportunity to work with a company she says she "lived by" while she was pregnant with us. So of course when I found out we were expecting-- this book, "What to Expect When Expecting" was one of the first things I ran out and got. The book gives you details about you pregnancy from the very start and goes week by week so you know exactly what to expect! You can choose to read each section as you go or browse through it as a reference each week or even to look ahead.<br /><br />Since my days of being pregnant--What to Expect published two additional books "What to Expect: the First Year" and "What to Expect: the Second Year". After browsing/reading through the copies I was sent, I found these books to be perfect guides for anyone with newborn to toddlers. I love that you can track milestones and be able to have an idea what goals you should be focusing on for your child at each age. Since we all have questions, its the perfect book to have on hand for those moments you just "aren't sure". <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 80px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 128px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688328248974457330" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1oBHx3os2ao/TvEAZ4XxOfI/AAAAAAAADxY/bQXsi_hO6p4/s400/2nd%2Byear.png" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 85px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 128px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688328245594296626" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OxUYAZD2oMo/TvEAZrx4ETI/AAAAAAAADxM/girgG4tdTcI/s400/untitled.png" /><br />Beyond the books, What to Expect now also launched a website: <a href="http://www.whattoexpect.com/">http://www.whattoexpect.com/</a> This is gives you the opportunity to join groups and find information out about preconception through toddlers. Its a great way to join a community full of individuals (and families) that are similar to you and your stage in life. Joining is free and its very simple to do. Once you are a member, you can find local groups and/or stay with online groups-- its a huge wealth of knowledge at your finger tips!<br /><br />You can also make your own profile pages that can be personalized and shared with friends and family (My WTE) or even follow your favorite (or find new) bloggers! Let me tell you, I'd give anything to go back to diapers (and I've tried to talk mommy into it, believe me) but for some reason she and daddy have it in their heads that we need to learn this. I feel like its just such a pain to have to stop playing to actually "go".<br /><br />Addie actually got to have a "potty party" and training first, just over a week ago. Jordan and I were really excited to attend the event since we didn't have to do anything yet benefited from it all. A potty party (for all of you wondering) is a big "potty day" where you get cupcakes for breakfast (okay, so mommy actually made us eat our real breakfast first) and then you get gifts to open which happen to be undies. Mommy tells you that you're big now and a speech (blah, blah, blah) and then you have to spend your day near the potty chair. Each time you go on the potty you get a treat or a present.<br /><br />After Addie had a successful potty day, it was time for us boys to have one, too. We were both excited when we heard about the cupcakes and presents, but once we opened them and realized that they expected us to actually stop what we were doing and go potty it wasn't quite as much fun. Jordan got the swing of things fairly quickly, although he really tried to hold it in. I think he was hoping they'd give up and put a diaper back on him. I caught on right away, too but we both still had a few accidents on the floor.<br /><br />My biggest issue (and it still is) is that I hate admitting I have to go potty. I'd much rather continue to play while doing the "potty dance" then actually going. That is until today, when I realized I can just bribe my mommy into giving me treats still for going. This is how is usually goes:<br /><br />Mommy: "Jack do you have to go potty?"<br /><br />Me: "NO!"<br /><br />Mommy: "Are you sure? You are wiggling a lot."<br /><br />Me: "NO! No potty!"<br /><br />(a few minutes later)<br /><br />Me: "I want a sucker."<br /><br />Mommy: "Sure, if you go potty first"<br /><br />As soon as she says that--all of a sudden I have to go. (tee hee)<br /><br />Anyways- here's a few pictures from the loooong weekend of potty training. Mommy thought she was pretty lucky that she thought of getting pictures of us by the tree...because we couldn't move on her.<br /><br />Enjoy!<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-l3NR5any64o/TuZ9fS5ejNI/AAAAAAAADws/nijGpB4gn5Y/s1600/IMG_6969.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 266px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685369556204162258" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-l3NR5any64o/TuZ9fS5ejNI/AAAAAAAADws/nijGpB4gn5Y/s400/IMG_6969.jpg" /></a><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685366641064555842" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rozRzAvKpZM/TuZ61nKCNUI/AAAAAAAADwI/N017-fBj0xs/s400/IMG_6976.jpg" /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CsBfsjjwFJ8/TuZ61xzDKDI/AAAAAAAADwU/1c5y_c_j86U/s1600/IMG_6965-2.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685366643920939058" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CsBfsjjwFJ8/TuZ61xzDKDI/AAAAAAAADwU/1c5y_c_j86U/s400/IMG_6965-2.jpg" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iNmA_edKT-s/TuZ608IgB4I/AAAAAAAADv8/hoR-ng6lHck/s1600/IMG_6978.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685366629515396994" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iNmA_edKT-s/TuZ608IgB4I/AAAAAAAADv8/hoR-ng6lHck/s400/IMG_6978.jpg" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ypZzH2GJJ_g/TuZ60vEn1iI/AAAAAAAADvw/5qHphdblAkU/s1600/IMG_6992.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 266px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685366626009470498" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ypZzH2GJJ_g/TuZ60vEn1iI/AAAAAAAADvw/5qHphdblAkU/s400/IMG_6992.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><p><img class="right" alt="post signature" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/jennisajoy/OUAB/BLOG/theRipletssignaturecopy.jpg" /></p>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-39179914188429304012011-12-04T14:57:00.004-06:002011-12-04T15:17:28.996-06:00The Hunt for the Perfect Christmas Tree<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5682380827907458210" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8vHWzAhH9C0/TtvfQaXqBKI/AAAAAAAADuE/LYODBURtay8/s400/IMG_6928.jpg" /><br />Yesterday, mommy and daddy told us we were going to buy our Christmas tree for our living room. I have to say, I was pretty excited (so were my brothers) but I was a little surprised that we'd actually get to put one inside! I kinda thought that was just on the movies. Speaking of...we've been watching A LOT of Christmas movies this past week, so we know all about Christmas and baby Jesus being born on Christmas Day (mommy says thanks, Veggie Tales!). Right now, our absolute favorite one is The Toy That Saved Christmas. We ask for it every, single day and if we're lucky, we get to watch it more then once.<br /><br />Anyways- back to our tree hunt. We got to pack up and go to a tree farm near our house to pick out exactly which tree we wanted. I was excited, because it seemed like it was a nice day outside. When we first arrived, we even got to see big horses pulling people around in a wagon!<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5682380832298744898" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6WzuxMb1qC8/TtvfQqunvEI/AAAAAAAADuQ/mHh08Bp48eQ/s400/IMG_6930.jpg" /><br />After looking at the horses from a distance (the guy asked if we wanted to pet them and only mommy was crazy enough to do it!), we decided it was time to get down to business and pick out a Christmas tree. Here we are with daddy trying to decide. Jack obviously had a few ideas...<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5682380839990111266" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UKMlxmZlTnQ/TtvfRHYYrCI/AAAAAAAADu4/6QfkFyKEkEQ/s400/IMG_6942.jpg" /><br />After just a few minutes of listening to Jack tell us his favorites, I wanted to go inside and warm up (it was colder then I thought it would be!). SO- I left my brothers in charge of making the decision. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5682381292623509410" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yNpaLQ8DB_M/TtvfrdkmN6I/AAAAAAAADvI/7ryRo5trWDw/s400/IMG_6945.jpg" /><br />Jordan got all flustered and couldn't decide so ultimately it was Jack's decision (along with daddy's persuading).<br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t4xiAGDf67w/TtvfrrZX6_I/AAAAAAAADvY/wEmIXcKG74s/s1600/IMG_6946.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5682381296334531570" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t4xiAGDf67w/TtvfrrZX6_I/AAAAAAAADvY/wEmIXcKG74s/s400/IMG_6946.jpg" /></a>Once I knew the decision was made and daddy paid for it, I came back outside only to be fooled into a "group photo" by mommy. As soon as she pulled the camera out this is what happened- hehe...<br /><br /><div><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-F0EVYzAvKbk/TtvfrYzthZI/AAAAAAAADvA/WLKWwCSYMlE/s1600/IMG_6943.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5682381291344725394" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-F0EVYzAvKbk/TtvfrYzthZI/AAAAAAAADvA/WLKWwCSYMlE/s400/IMG_6943.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 266px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5682380834696711810" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nZQe0lH3Y7U/TtvfQzqVzoI/AAAAAAAADuc/vQnTVu64NLQ/s400/IMG_6931.jpg" /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9f_OUqPA7oM/TtvfRDxT9eI/AAAAAAAADuk/kES37KA2-8o/s1600/IMG_6933.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5682380839020918242" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9f_OUqPA7oM/TtvfRDxT9eI/AAAAAAAADuk/kES37KA2-8o/s400/IMG_6933.jpg" /></a> After we paid for it, we all jumped into our SUV and waited for them to tie it to the top of it! Jordan laughed and laughed to think a tree was going to ride with us home.<br /><br />Last night, we just put the tree in the stand and gave it some water. I love helping mommy give it water! This morning, we woke up and put lights and a star on it and then hung up our stockings for Santa to fill for us on Christmas Day! Here's our perfect Christmas tree. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Enjoy!<br /><br /><div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5682381307556110898" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-o9r0HVx1bIE/TtvfsVMzojI/AAAAAAAADvg/wy2YNR8CXBw/s400/IMG_6957-1.jpg" /><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><p><img class="right" alt="post signature" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/jennisajoy/OUAB/BLOG/theRipletssignaturecopy.jpg" /></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-50018863200354474302011-11-28T20:47:00.004-06:002011-11-28T20:57:01.702-06:00Our ThanksgivingWe had a fun weekend with our cousins. We spent Thanksgiving Day at our Auntie Dawn and Uncle Mark's house. We arrived just in time for dinner, but of course I didn't like anything they were serving. Lucky for me, mommy brought some PB& J sandwiches for us. I didn't eat a single bite though, how can you eat when so many people are around to talk to and play with?<br /><br /><br /><div>While we were there, mommy and daddy let us play in our big cousin's room (okay maybe they didn't realize we went in there) and we fed the guinea pig magnets from Isaiah's chore chart! We were having a great time until Isaiah busted us. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Since the weather was so nice out that day, Jack and I headed outside with daddy and "the boys" for our annual Thanksgiving Day football game. This was the first year that we got to participate and let me just say, I don't know what they did before without us. </div><br /><br /><div>Meanwhile, Addie was inside with the girls prepping for their Black Friday shopping trip. Poor Addison, she assumed she was shopping with them. Little did she know they were going out without her after she went to bed that night!</div><br /><br /><div>Here's a photo of us from Thanksgiving. I know you are wondering why Jack is so sad, aren't you? I was wondering the same thing myself... Enjoy!</div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5680245492184331666" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0rAj7-vPtrM/TtRJLg6pNZI/AAAAAAAADt4/0IZOBBowOWs/s400/IMG_6867.jpg" /><br /><br /><br /><p><img class="right" alt="post signature" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/jennisajoy/OUAB/BLOG/theRipletssignaturecopy.jpg" /></p>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-50164337998466622102011-11-21T14:10:00.005-06:002011-11-21T14:38:36.249-06:00Why We've been MIAI know you guys must be wondering where the heck we are, huh? We had so much fun this year going door to door and loading our bags with goodies. At first I was really confused on why mommy thought I should be dressed as zoo keeper, Jack as a giraffe, and Addison as a monkey. Then, once we got outside and started getting treats, I got the hang of it! Addie had a little trouble getting the concept of just "getting the candy and going". She was all about wanting to go into each house and hang out. She's way too social, wouldn't you say?<br /><br />By the end of the night, I knew exactly what to do. I'd go up to each house (holding my hat securely on my head) with my bag in the other hand. Jack would say "Trick or Treat" and I'd take my candy and place it in my bag and say "Thank you-you're welcome!".<br /><br />I have to say, I really like Halloween. I'm not sure why we can't do this every night?<br /><br />Here's a few pictures...enjoy!<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GgIc4kjygWA/TrCs9JMZmgI/AAAAAAAADtE/3UdHRCuilcM/s1600/IMG_6471.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 252px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670222097299380738" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GgIc4kjygWA/TrCs9JMZmgI/AAAAAAAADtE/3UdHRCuilcM/s400/IMG_6471.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cvJZTUPLv28/TrCs8_w7LkI/AAAAAAAADs8/n09mFOxgxZ4/s1600/IMG_6466.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670222094768221762" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cvJZTUPLv28/TrCs8_w7LkI/AAAAAAAADs8/n09mFOxgxZ4/s400/IMG_6466.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QDpQg14qIgo/TrCsqqSKLMI/AAAAAAAADs0/i39SdDyjHm8/s1600/IMG_6463.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670221779764391106" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QDpQg14qIgo/TrCsqqSKLMI/AAAAAAAADs0/i39SdDyjHm8/s400/IMG_6463.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6CpxzcNDiGE/TrCsqcpiSeI/AAAAAAAADsk/W_s5QWeOg3o/s1600/IMG_6474.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670221776104344034" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6CpxzcNDiGE/TrCsqcpiSeI/AAAAAAAADsk/W_s5QWeOg3o/s400/IMG_6474.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NvP90n8pPFM/TrCsp7Z6njI/AAAAAAAADsY/7K3TQDsKPp4/s1600/IMG_6469.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670221767180459570" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NvP90n8pPFM/TrCsp7Z6njI/AAAAAAAADsY/7K3TQDsKPp4/s400/IMG_6469.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Tu6kNamjea0/TrCspbUSeNI/AAAAAAAADsM/4wJT5o4zCG4/s1600/IMG_6478.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670221758566922450" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Tu6kNamjea0/TrCspbUSeNI/AAAAAAAADsM/4wJT5o4zCG4/s400/IMG_6478.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PRUR3-h3LH4/TrCspboxhsI/AAAAAAAADsA/xVB99sD-zI0/s1600/IMG_6482.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670221758652843714" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PRUR3-h3LH4/TrCspboxhsI/AAAAAAAADsA/xVB99sD-zI0/s400/IMG_6482.jpg" /></a></div></div></div></div></div></div>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-62135918978997938012011-10-23T19:47:00.007-05:002011-10-23T21:11:14.969-05:00Happy Birthday to...US!!<div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AHZ8xgfkQmM/TqTDRhfiY7I/AAAAAAAADro/04YpmWmAL5k/s1600/IMG_5803.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666868936954766258" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AHZ8xgfkQmM/TqTDRhfiY7I/AAAAAAAADro/04YpmWmAL5k/s400/IMG_5803.jpg" /></a> Today was our 3rd birthday so we celebrated with our family and friends with a Sesame Street party! I have to say, we were all really excited when we woke up to mommy, daddy, memere and pepere singing "Happy Birthday" to us.<br /><br />In the morning, we each got to choose what we wanted for breakfast. Of course I choose my usual waffles while the boys both decided on yogurt. After breakfast we got to watch a movie (Cars, yuck...but better then nothing) and open a few presents from mommy and daddy.<br /><br />After lunch we were told to go nap before our party. I of coursed listened and went to sleep but found out (afterwards, of course!) that Jack and Jordan didn't nap and got to play in the basement with memere and pepere until the party.<br /><br />The party was so much fun! We got to wear our really fun Sesame Street shirts that mommy's friend, Sara made us (check out her blog- <a href="http://www.peanutandpumpkindesign.blogspot.com/">Peanut & Pumpkin</a>). As the guests were arriving, we got to swing on our new swing set that g'ma and g'pa got us.<br /><br /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666868394379757346" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-X1nxVVK-_QY/TqTCx8PkxyI/AAAAAAAADqc/OtTyUc4UlDw/s400/IMG_5836.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666868378258922194" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GE4ycf8Bxl0/TqTCxAMEWtI/AAAAAAAADqQ/dzasqNgQCvc/s400/IMG_5846.jpg" /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L0BfgyvzLec/TqTCw_OmarI/AAAAAAAADqE/mUvjWgDq-uI/s1600/IMG_5841.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666868378001107634" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L0BfgyvzLec/TqTCw_OmarI/AAAAAAAADqE/mUvjWgDq-uI/s400/IMG_5841.jpg" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IfKWVRCyURY/TqTCPEhUsVI/AAAAAAAADpw/FUGRhW-kkiU/s1600/IMG_5853.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666867795306262866" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IfKWVRCyURY/TqTCPEhUsVI/AAAAAAAADpw/FUGRhW-kkiU/s400/IMG_5853.jpg" /></a></div>After our friends and family arrived we got to get the party started. We played a few games, opened presents, and then the best part...we got to eat our cupcakes!! Okay, okay-- we also got to hear everyone sing us "Happy Birthday", too. </div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7pQ08Arqe8Q/TqTITDIHjmI/AAAAAAAADr0/uGJySAdd4VU/s1600/IMG_5905.jpg"></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oxWbPRd7ZtQ/TqTDQ2LypVI/AAAAAAAADrg/Sy5u-umFGng/s1600/IMG_5805.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666868925329220946" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oxWbPRd7ZtQ/TqTDQ2LypVI/AAAAAAAADrg/Sy5u-umFGng/s400/IMG_5805.jpg" /></a><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666868912261488242" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7A1qsBBGAbA/TqTDQFgM3nI/AAAAAAAADrQ/crpXaNV1FvU/s400/IMG_5807.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666868906591983394" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rb9zQpErAdM/TqTDPwYfFyI/AAAAAAAADrE/34KrW6F8r68/s400/IMG_5811-2.jpg" /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HxbrLYEemaU/TqTCzTagclI/AAAAAAAADq4/gwSk6ippSiA/s1600/IMG_5814.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666868417779495506" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HxbrLYEemaU/TqTCzTagclI/AAAAAAAADq4/gwSk6ippSiA/s400/IMG_5814.jpg" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1qaseOLkOi0/TqTCOIOz_GI/AAAAAAAADpo/IsLCfYiV130/s1600/IMG_5878.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666867779122494562" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1qaseOLkOi0/TqTCOIOz_GI/AAAAAAAADpo/IsLCfYiV130/s400/IMG_5878.jpg" /></a>Here we are listening to everyone sing. Mommy is always taking our pictures, so when she told us we were going to do our "3 Year old photos" I had to wonder why. I mean, couldn't she dig through her thousands of other pictures she already has of us and use those?<br /><br />She told us that you'd all know if she used older pictures, so we decided we'd do the shoot just for all of you (and the cookies she bribed us with). Here's a few of our favorites. Don't forget to check in with us this weekend as we turn 3!<br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GIjpvUBRAPY/Tp9eLuXF99I/AAAAAAAADn4/5pH3SykMn_k/s1600/IMG_5335.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5665350411771836370" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GIjpvUBRAPY/Tp9eLuXF99I/AAAAAAAADn4/5pH3SykMn_k/s400/IMG_5335.jpg" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PJgxxuXuyVw/Tp9d8WDo4_I/AAAAAAAADns/wy-4P0WxerE/s1600/IMG_5347.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5665350147549750258" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PJgxxuXuyVw/Tp9d8WDo4_I/AAAAAAAADns/wy-4P0WxerE/s400/IMG_5347.jpg" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TN822lcP2KQ/Tp9d7hBA1kI/AAAAAAAADnk/sTXQuWK5zgk/s1600/IMG_5270.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5665350133311657538" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TN822lcP2KQ/Tp9d7hBA1kI/AAAAAAAADnk/sTXQuWK5zgk/s400/IMG_5270.jpg" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gxEajrGoJBM/Tp9d7RA5z5I/AAAAAAAADnU/cGpVK4I-0s4/s1600/IMG_5233.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5665350129016229778" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gxEajrGoJBM/Tp9d7RA5z5I/AAAAAAAADnU/cGpVK4I-0s4/s400/IMG_5233.jpg" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HOWJMRVbhgo/Tp9d6-m-58I/AAAAAAAADnI/9ojwYcjU1CA/s1600/IMG_5149.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5665350124075673538" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HOWJMRVbhgo/Tp9d6-m-58I/AAAAAAAADnI/9ojwYcjU1CA/s400/IMG_5149.jpg" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FzrlxuvwlFA/Tp9d6mwYXPI/AAAAAAAADm8/qJ8W937rGno/s1600/IMG_5301.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5665350117672639730" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FzrlxuvwlFA/Tp9d6mwYXPI/AAAAAAAADm8/qJ8W937rGno/s400/IMG_5301.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><p><img class="right" alt="post signature" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/jennisajoy/OUAB/BLOG/theRipletssignaturecopy.jpg" /></p>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-15860858147722010372011-10-06T12:26:00.010-05:002011-10-06T13:16:09.809-05:0010 Holiday Planning Tips<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zmdpLcJzrOI/TQ9UaAxQclI/AAAAAAAADFU/pkoCnk_Wn8Q/s1600/fade.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 236px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552749671431041618" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zmdpLcJzrOI/TQ9UaAxQclI/AAAAAAAADFU/pkoCnk_Wn8Q/s400/fade.jpg" /></a><br />First of all, I wanted to let you know mommy is already planning for the holidays. She's been reading us books about Santa (ask me what he says, I know) and she's asking us what we want for Christmas (umm...duh anything Bob the Builder, Thomas the Train or Cars). So I kind of expected her to ask me when could she do a guest post on our blog again. Of course, me being the eldest child (hey- I'm 1 minute older then Jordan!) she knows who to ask. So here's mommy with a few tips for your holiday planning...<br /><br />Thanks, Jack!<br /><br />Here's a few ways you can help save money, time and your sanity.<br /><br />1. Start planning now. Don't wait until the week before Thanksgiving and start wondering how much you need to have for gifts, meals, and/or events. Money can stress anyone out, so don't let it get you down before you even start. Plan ahead now by knowing how much you can afford to spend and/or saving even a small amount each week towards your shopping or meals.<br /><br />2. Make a shopping list now. Write down each person's name that you shop for and put a dollar amount you'd like to spend by their name. This will help you stick to your budget better by seeing it as you shop. Write down a few ideas for each person on your list. It can be vague like "puzzles" or "a sweater" for each person but then you at least have an idea of what you are searching for before you get out or online shopping.<br /><br />3. If you are hosting, plan your meals/events around your kids (or other kid's) schedules. This is huge at our house. There is nothing worse then getting a house full of family and friends and then trying to open gifts or eat meal after or during your child's nap or bedtime. We've made this mistake and then it leads to us rushing through everything because my kids are whining or crying or falling asleep on us.<br /><br />4. Have lists of items your kids want ready for relatives--try to give each family member new ideas (if possible). This will save you the headache of 2 of everything because people got the same lists and bought the same things!<br /><br />5. Check out sales and search for coupons online AFTER your list is together with ideas. If you go out shopping without at least a few ideas of what to get each person, you're going to end up spending more then you planned on. I find myself buying an extra gift for someone because I wasn't sure what would work OR I'll miss someone on my list completely...which leads to more stress on me!<br /><br />6. Get your local paper on Thanksgiving so you can see all of the ads for Black Friday and get a game plan together. My sisters, mom and I always go early that morning and already know what items we're trying to get. Sometimes we'll even divide up so that we can get the deals we want without missing out.<br /><br />7. If you are hosting a meal or party-plan now for the event and pick up things through October and November so you aren't strapped for time and money getting it last minute. Save the perishable items for the week of and save yourself the headache of going from store to store in search of canned pumpkin.<br /><br />8. Start planning for or finding the picture you want for your <a href="http://www.storkie.com/c-310-christmas-cards.aspx">holiday cards</a>. I already have a few photos I think we could use, but I will go out for one more small "holiday photo session" to try to get a picture of all three of my kids together for our cards. Check for early bird discounts for holiday cards now-- you can usually save up to 25% off by ordering them early. Go check out <a href="http://www.storkie.com/c-310-christmas-cards.aspx">Storkie Christmas Cards</a>, I can't wait to pick something out this year! Just think...getting them ordered now saves you time in November while you're trying to get everyone's gifts figured out and planning your holiday meals.<br /><br />9. Don't stress if you can't get the perfect photo for your holiday cards. Funny outtakes can make the best holiday cards. I know I struggle with this one, but each year someone sends me a really funny photo card and I tell myself "see, this is such a cute card...I need to stop stressing over a perfect photo."<br /><br />10. The biggest help for me is wrapping my gifts as I buy them. I try to use the wrapping service (sometimes it can be free) or I try to wrap it that night after the kids go to bed. This not only saves you that "uh oh" moment the night before you need everything wrapped but it also gives you gifts to look at and admire under the tree!<br /><br />I have a bonus tip-- have fun, enjoy your family and friends and remember what Christmas is really about. Don't forget to put Christ into Christmas.<br /><br /><br /><br /><em>I wrote this blog post while participating in the <a href="http://www.storkie.com/">Storkie</a> holiday blogging program. I received compensation for my participation. All opinions are 100% mine.</em><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><p><img class="right" alt="post signature" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/jennisajoy/OUAB/BLOG/theRipletssignaturecopy.jpg" /></p>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-87589346121422210022011-09-25T20:34:00.005-05:002011-09-25T21:04:17.979-05:00We Love Apples!<div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5656477368438118450" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZTcUqbjzcG0/Tn_YMoHKWDI/AAAAAAAADmc/_WRP5Z_U7mM/s400/IMG_5082-FB.jpg" /></div><br /><br /><div>I was pretty excited when I heard we were gonna get to go to an apple orchard this weekend. I love talking about "ap-pas" and really love to eat them. I vaguely remember going last year, mommy says she had fun watching me gather all of the apples I could but refused a bag to carry them. I see nothing funny about it, in fact- that's exactly the way I did it again this year. I really love to see how many items I can carry at one time. </div><br /><br /><div>The orchard we decided to go to was one we hit up last year, too. I was excited to play on the toys they had as well but mommy told us not to get too excited since the orchard had changed ownership. Lucky for us, it was for the better! </div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><div>The new owners added some really cool features for kids. We got to see llamas, ostrich and sheep at the petting zoo, climb hay bails to the top of a huge pyramid, and play in the tee pees that had a tunnel connecting them. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5656477358718884146" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nlRw_iTDjWo/Tn_YMD56mTI/AAAAAAAADmM/-Dch0Xb_Mrc/s400/IMG_4939-FB.jpg" /></div><br /><div>I absolutely love to climb, so it was obvious that I would love the hay bail pyramids! Check out how high up I am and that's Jack at the bottom trying to climb up to me. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5656477356837839170" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mljQzBVDtBI/Tn_YL85cIUI/AAAAAAAADmE/lXXmGVf7CmY/s400/IMG_4938-FB.jpg" /></div><br /><div>My brothers were a little leary about going into the tee pees but I assured them that mommy & daddy wouldn't steer us wrong. Then they reminded me that while at the doctors, never trust them though because they are always trying to get us poked and proded. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5656476404306319266" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qxVKeKxwZYM/Tn_XUgcOl6I/AAAAAAAADls/VoNBE6tq2QA/s400/IMG_4923-FB.jpg" /></div><br /><div>We ended up loving the tunnel and tee pees and the boys (especially Jordan) kept bolting back to them whenever they'd get the chance. </div><br /><br /><div>After playing and playing and playing, we finally agreed to go a pick some apples. Jordan has always been anti-apples but loves to refer to himself as "Apple" when he talks on the phone. He usually says "Hello, this is Apple". I'm assuming its his spy name, ya know for his top secret missions. Anyways- he surprised us all by grabbing his own apple off the tree and taking a big bite. Of course he also had to lick it each time just to make sure it still tasted the same before he would take another bite . </div><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--45VqBNSiTI/Tn_YM4RwfrI/AAAAAAAADmk/qEwoNtG0wT4/s1600/IMG_5072-FB.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5656477372777529010" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--45VqBNSiTI/Tn_YM4RwfrI/AAAAAAAADmk/qEwoNtG0wT4/s400/IMG_5072-FB.jpg" /></a>Jack has always loved apples and I think its really gone to his head, because since we've been home he's asked for an apple at least 5 times. <br />
<br />Can you believe it? Time really flies when you're having fun. I still remember the days of the NICU...all tiny (I was only 3lb 15oz) and cute in my little "B" hat UMass Memorial gave me (I was baby B, so they labeled my hat. Daddy insists it was a Redsox hat though becase of the "B").
<br />
<br />
<br /><p align="center"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zmdpLcJzrOI/SdloJYtK2lI/AAAAAAAAAEk/Y9XaLp2PoEc/s1600-h/Jordan+being+born!.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 146px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321398945174968914" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zmdpLcJzrOI/SdloJYtK2lI/AAAAAAAAAEk/Y9XaLp2PoEc/s200/Jordan+being+born!.jpg" /></a></p>
<br /><div>Okay, okay so maybe I don't exactly remember the NICU or my birth or anything from 3 years ago, but I hear all about it from my mommy & daddy.
<br /></div>
<br /><div>Anyways- mommy has been proctrastinating and finally tried to get a picture of the three of us together for our birthday invites. She was going to take us to a park and have us sit on a bench for a few seconds so she could try to get a good shot. Well as luck would have it, it was pouring rain the day she tried, so instead she was stuck trying to capture it indoors. Needless to say, it didn't go very smoothly. In fact, mommy referred to it as an "epic fail" whatever that means. Take a look at our best shot.
<br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5655629553462845826" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9xpFlHHPrDw/TnzVHTNaoYI/AAAAAAAADlU/Edp9-bXHZvc/s400/IMG_4877-FB.jpg" />Notice we were bribed with cookies to sit on the bench. Sit we did. Look happy? Well...not so much.
<br />
<br />
<br /><p>After trying to make this photo work and knowing we didn't have much time to get our invites made, printed and then mailed out, mommy decided we are not sending invites out at all this year! (Way to go, Mommy-- we're only 3 and no invites already?!) SO- if you know us and want to come to our party it will be at our house on Sunday, October 23rd at 3pm.
<br />
<br />All I have to say is, there better be cake, ice cream and presents at our party...the way mommy's going though, I'm a little nervous.

I remember the good ol' days (Spring of 2011) when I was surrounded by all things I loved. I'd go to college to see my boyfriend, Vinny (*sigh*) where I'd get to play with Elmo, watch Sesame Street, and get to "jump" and get thrown in the air as long as I wanted. I'd come home with my brothers and we'd get to play and play and then I'd ask for "Sesa" and mommy would let us watch more Sesame Street. I just took for granted that my brothers would let me watch Sesame Street. <br /><div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I had no idea that one day they'd fall out-of-love with the show and insist on some (pardon my language) stupid train show. You guessed it. All. Day. Long. we have to hear Jack asking for "Tommy Train" and of course Jordan agrees. It didn't end there though, either. Mommy got out a train table and little wood trains and now I'm surrounded by "choo choos" and all things trains. I've learned to bite my tongue and just watch the show when its on, but believe me I'm not happy about it. What does a girl gotta do to get her some Elmo?!</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>The only thing worse then Thomas the Train is that my first and only love (okay- Elmo might've been my 1st but for this post lets set that aside), Vinny moved far, far away. So now I've lost Sesame Street and Vinny. Lucky for me I do love cookies and I've learned to ask for them whenever I need a lift...which is A LOT. I've also learned that mommy's phone can play me Will.i.am's song on Sesame Street so I usually will just grab it when I see it on the counter (stools work wonders to get me things I can't reach) and ask mommy for "Will". </div><br /><br /><div>I'm sure you'll hear a different side of the story from my brothers, but I just had to first let you know that I am not thrilled with the new changes around here! Since we have no photos of the boys watching Thomas or Vinny leaving (I obviously didn't want reminders of either) I'll leave you with a few pictures of us from this past weekend. Enjoy!<br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-33xoh35f-gA/TnDkNNYUwyI/AAAAAAAADlE/ivIWJ7Q8eKY/s1600/IMG_3948.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5652268447931089698" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-33xoh35f-gA/TnDkNNYUwyI/AAAAAAAADlE/ivIWJ7Q8eKY/s400/IMG_3948.jpg" /></a> </div><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0YQOdbZIYvA/TnDkMkT-2zI/AAAAAAAADk8/vWBLaNbq3zA/s1600/IMG_3946.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 286px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5652268436907023154" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0YQOdbZIYvA/TnDkMkT-2zI/AAAAAAAADk8/vWBLaNbq3zA/s400/IMG_3946.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UAOzH5rmDIw/TnDkLpih18I/AAAAAAAADks/xJAC_1yFQBc/s1600/IMG_3936.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5652268421130344386" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UAOzH5rmDIw/TnDkLpih18I/AAAAAAAADks/xJAC_1yFQBc/s400/IMG_3936.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><p><img class="right" alt="post signature" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/jennisajoy/OUAB/BLOG/theRipletssignaturecopy.jpg" /></p></div></div></div></div></div></div>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-82409930184461462262011-08-22T12:58:00.006-05:002011-08-26T08:48:03.822-05:00The Potty ChairMommy has been pushing us to try using the potty lately. To be honest, I've been interested in seeing everyone else use the potty and I really enjoy helping mommy when Jack or Addison have a "dirty" diaper (mommy said "poop" is not the best word to use while blogging, but I have to say- I love saying it!) usually pointing out to mommy that they "pooped" or had a "big poop" (again, sorry if this is offending any of you, but really what other word would I use?). I also like to get out the wipes and help her out by grabbing the dirty diaper (before she gets it sealed up) to throw away for her.
<br />
<br />Anyways- (I digress) the point is- mommy has been reading "potty books" and showing us our potty now for weeks. I think she's expecting us to ditch our diapers and actually use it each time we need to go. Personally, it seems like its such a hassle. I mean, why in the world would I want to stop playing and go undress and sit on a chair with a big hole in it? Its so much easier to just go in my pants and then tell mommy afterwards.
<br />
<br />Well, Addison and Jack differ in opinions because they are both falling for mommy and daddy's bribes to get them to use the potty chair. Jack actually requests to go sit on the potty (he knows he gets a M&M if he goes) and sometimes actually goes! Addison doesn't even need the bribe, she likes to sit on it and read her book. She knows once she's gone and she expects the rest of us to clap for her (like its some huge accomplishment).
<br />
<br />So...it looks like I may be the lonely soldier wearing my diaper soon while the other two take a trip to buy "big kid" underwear. I see no excitement at all in wanting to wear those silly undies anyways. Mommy says the idea will grow on me, but for now I love my diapers.
<br />
<br />Here's a few shots of my siblings using the potty chair. Ummm...hello?! Photos on the potty? This is why I'm not going to even attempt it. Also notice the potty chair is pink, another reason I opted out on trying it. Jack on the other hand has a huge love for all things pink. Go figure.
<br />
<br />Enjoy!

<br />
<br /><div>Today was our first time visiting the dentist. Mommy thought it was a good idea to have us all go there together so we could "get it over with" (her words not mine!). She told us before we left that we were going to see the dentist and that she'd ask us to open our mouth and say "ahhhh". We, of course practiced before we left and laughed about it. Well, that's only partially true. Jordan didn't open his mouth and really had no interest at all in the subject. Jack & I thought it was going to be a good time. Mommy even asked us were our teeth were and Jack quickly showed us. Jack also knew that they were going to want to count his teeth, so he kept sticking his finger in mommy's mouth and counting her's for her. I may see a dental degree in his future.
<br /></div>
<br /><div>Mommy bribed g'ma and Auntie Dawn to go with us to the dentist because she wasn't sure how she'd keep track of all three of us alone. At the office, we all were excited to go sit at their kids' table and color while we waited. I was called in first, I'm assuming its because they wanted "ladies first". I went in thinking it was going to be all fun and games until the actual dentist came in to see me. Then I freaked out. I tried to slug her while she attempted to look in at my teeth. Her assistant told g'ma that I was going a great job because if I scream, she can look at my teeth better. After checking each of us out individually we were each taken to pick out a prize. Oh and by the way-I wasn't the only screamer- ask Jack about how he handled it. Let's just say daddy could hear him at work and he was 30 miles away
<br /></div>
<br /><div>Overall, the trip to the dentist wasn't completely awful. They told us our teeth looked good and we had no cavities or plaque build up. We even got a little bag full of goodies for tooth brushing time. I, of course was given a princess theme bag while my stinky brothers got Toy Story ones. I plan to use my new toothbrush today and taste the toothpaste they gave us, too. </div>

I've been hanging out with mommy, begging to go "bye bye in cah" (that's car for all of you non-Bostonians) and doing a lot of playing outside. Meanwhile, my siblings are busy working away in each other's rooms (therapy mommy calls it), learning how to match, count, and talk. Jordan was a little bit naughty on his first day back after vacation. He didn't think he really had to listen to his therapists. He also thought it was funny to throw everything in site over peoples heads and behind him. Lucky for me, I am a quick ducker and avoided a toy-to-the-head. Unfortunately Addison was not so lucky. Addison was pretty quiet her first few days back to school, but she's slowly opened up again and it repeating so much more again!
<br />
<br /><p>Anyways- mommy finally finished editing up the rest of our vacation pictures. These are all photos from either at the Cape (but not the beach) or back at memere & pepere's place.
<br /></p>
<br />

<br /><p>Enjoy!</p>

It was fun playing at the beach with them because they are older then us and knew how to build sandcastles and dig big holes. We headed out the first day to Mayflower Beach, which is is great beach on the bayside, with warm water and a really long sandy beach (while the tide was out!). We played in little tide pools and found crabs, shells and even some seaweed.<br /><br /><div><br /><br /><div>On Tuesday, "Auntie" Sue and "Uncle" Mickey stayed with us, too. We headed out to Chapin Beach (also on the bayside) and decided to walk all the way to the very end of the sand (again, low tide) so we could jump the waves. We set up our umbrella, blankets, and chairs first and then walked to the edge of the water. Good thing mommy decided to carry me, because my little legs got tired just walking out there! The boys walked with everyone else and Jordan even got a lift towards the end, too.<br /></div><br /><br /><div>After playing for about 20 minutes, Jordan asked to go back to our blanket for some juice so mommy took him. Good thing, too because the tide was coming in and we got stuck with all of our stuff out on a sandbar! Daddy, pepere and Mickey had to take all of our stuff across the water for us because it was too deep to carry ourselves. What an adventure!<br /></div><br /><br /><div>We also spent a few days at the West Dennis Beach which was really close to our house. Spending time there meant a lot less of a beach to walk out on, but more shells to find which is my favorite part. I spent my time collecting shells and walking along the coastline with memere. All of us got brave the final day and actually walked out into the ocean up to our necks!<br /><br />Here are a few pictures...Enjoy!<br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uN4sCZfjRYM/TjBbVmAFrGI/AAAAAAAADiE/G1UdorYa1o8/s1600/IMG_2248-fb.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; We love visiting them, but the drive out there can be a little long at times. Lucky for us, mommy & daddy surprised us with a new dual DVD player for the ride- so we spent our time watching every Sesame Street and Veggie Tale we owned. </div><br /><br /><div>This year, we left around 4am and made it all the way from Wisconsin to Erie, PA before we stopped for the night. Our room in Erie as at a Spring Hill Inn which was really a lot of fun! Mommy & daddy were a little sad about how it was set up, they thought they'd have a separate bedroom to put us in that night. Instead the suite had a jacuzzi (woo hoo!) and a livingroom area divided by a half wall. Jordan and I got to share the pull out couch while Addison, mommy & daddy shared the king size bed. While Addie and mommy attempted to sleep, us boys ran and ran and ran around the room getting into any kind of trouble we could find (daddy was there with us, but not amuzed). </div><br /><br /><div>The next morning we headed out for our final leg of the drive and arrived safely at Cape Cod by 6pm that night. We were so happy to get out and run around after 2 days cooped up in the car!</div><br /><br /><div>Here's a few pictures of us at the beach, we lucked out with gorgeous "beach weather" every, single day! (Mommy said there are A LOT more photos and stories but we'll end here for now, more to come so stick around!) </div><br /><br /><div>Enjoy...</div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IVpNF0wkdTo/Ti2t1RBAcDI/AAAAAAAADgE/OKSCumMR5hA/s1600/IMG_2036-fb.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5633349839522656306" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IVpNF0wkdTo/Ti2t1RBAcDI/AAAAAAAADgE/OKSCumMR5hA/s400/IMG_2036-fb.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rXkR59fN4PM/Ti2t1GRO_jI/AAAAAAAADf8/r3f2OzOuwMQ/s1600/IMG_2033-fb.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5633349836637929010" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rXkR59fN4PM/Ti2t1GRO_jI/AAAAAAAADf8/r3f2OzOuwMQ/s400/IMG_2033-fb.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MvRQbUqMcOE/Ti2t02f8FgI/AAAAAAAADf0/eShztq8ZI5s/s1600/IMG_2276-fb.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 237px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5633349832404637186" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MvRQbUqMcOE/Ti2t02f8FgI/AAAAAAAADf0/eShztq8ZI5s/s400/IMG_2276-fb.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-l8V-Ec7XoiU/Ti2t0RwloZI/AAAAAAAADfk/jeoyzqaQgpM/s1600/IMG_2307-bw-fb.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5633352324165444994" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Y_Iw60cKY-I/Ti2wF5CApYI/AAAAAAAADgM/P-R0-931xYQ/s400/IMG_2357-fb.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5633349822542356882" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-l8V-Ec7XoiU/Ti2t0RwloZI/AAAAAAAADfk/jeoyzqaQgpM/s400/IMG_2307-bw-fb.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><p><img class="right" alt="post signature" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/jennisajoy/OUAB/BLOG/theRipletssignaturecopy.jpg" /></p></div></div></div>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-60752541584429295902011-07-24T14:12:00.001-05:002011-07-24T14:15:14.631-05:00The CapeSorry we've once again been MIA for all of you Riplets fans out there. Mommy said they were "babysitting" but we're not sure why, because there were no babies involved. We got to play and play and PLAY with Vinny, Laura, and Brittany while mommy & daddy went out to eat. It was such a blast seeing them again. Addison wasn't feeling very well all day though, so she wasn't her usual excited-self to see her boyfriend, Vinny (Vinny if you are reading this, its not you its her).<br /><br /><br /><br /><div>Here's a few pictures of us with our besties before they left...<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625928268009987746" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HDYhItLAHgw/ThNP88qQXqI/AAAAAAAADfM/DOTLMmEdDDU/s400/IMG_1392.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625929525122057426" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yGBx_fJaJ00/ThNRGHxIRNI/AAAAAAAADfU/qIsZFykDh8U/s400/IMG_1393.jpg" /></div><br /><div><br /><br /></div><br /><p><img class="right" alt="post signature" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/jennisajoy/OUAB/BLOG/theRipletssignaturecopy.jpg" /></p>Jamiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02752120407977482083noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6948299104151654383.post-14186877613612544822011-06-16T13:14:00.005-05:002011-06-16T13:44:45.554-05:00Como Park Zoo<div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hMN3a4gwI4w/TfpJr6DGOWI/AAAAAAAADe8/xwkDopxAR-A/s1600/IMG_1119.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618884503763564898" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hMN3a4gwI4w/TfpJr6DGOWI/AAAAAAAADe8/xwkDopxAR-A/s400/IMG_1119.jpg" /></a> So mommy & daddy pulled a fast one on us and loaded us up with goodies, strapped us in our strollers and took us to have fun only to make us stop and pose for a family photo. We know this was all just to get us to look forward and not leave for the picture. I guess mommy & daddy are getting a little wiser the more they deal with our shenanigans. (hehe) So I guess we'll give you this nice family photo (see above), but mommy- please don't attempt a trick on us like this again.<br /><br /><br /><div>Really though, we got to go to Como Park Zoo in St Paul this past weekend and it was such a great time! I loved the ride there (we got to watch Sesame Street and have snacks) and really liked the animals, food, and play ground at the zoo!<br /><br />We even got to meet up with our lil' cousin, Noah (how fitting he's at the zoo with us- get it- Noah? as in Noah's Ark? hehe) and Auntie B and Uncle James, too. Here they are below: </div><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-in7FdCf7F44/TfpJrhEoWxI/AAAAAAAADe0/kLVboXfk7nk/s1600/IMG_1117.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618884497059109650" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-in7FdCf7F44/TfpJrhEoWxI/AAAAAAAADe0/kLVboXfk7nk/s400/IMG_1117.jpg" /></a> While at the zoo we got to sea lions, polar bears, giraffes, zebras, seals, and bunch more. My favorite of all was seeing the seals and sea lions swim by me and splash. My brothers liked them, too but I think Jack liked the giraffes the best.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618883114510607314" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YipW2amhqTA/TfpIbCrYY9I/AAAAAAAADd0/KjhBYkcdupI/s400/IMG_1103.jpg" /> </div><br /><br /><div>Here I am checking out the flamingos. They were so pretty!<br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jfJ-4T4qj3M/TfpL79pKWEI/AAAAAAAADfE/Tq9WybzSBJs/s1600/IMG_1132.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618886978629687362" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jfJ-4T4qj3M/TfpL79pKWEI/AAAAAAAADfE/Tq9WybzSBJs/s400/IMG_1132.jpg" /></a> There was only one animal I had a little problem with and that was a turtle. Okay, so maybe he wasn't a real turtle, but just a statue. We were playing around him and running and laughing when I tripped and fell. My head hit his shell and really made a loud dinging noise! Boy, was I not happy with that turtle. As you can see from photos below, my brothers though he was a good time. Thanks boys.<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nSkpVxJJKpE/TfpI7nZp8GI/AAAAAAAADes/vp5xk_FWIF4/s1600/IMG_1142.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618883674124185698" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nSkpVxJJKpE/TfpI7nZp8GI/AAAAAAAADes/vp5xk_FWIF4/s400/IMG_1142.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W8Um2Mc7WCc/TfpI7KyFsOI/AAAAAAAADec/aMfyY0M1k1w/s1600/IMG_1136.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618883666442039522" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W8Um2Mc7WCc/TfpI7KyFsOI/AAAAAAAADec/aMfyY0M1k1w/s400/IMG_1136.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dZUw8_3QEZg/TfpI63ZbJeI/AAAAAAAADeU/Ut06JhDzpnc/s1600/IMG_1123.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618883661238314466" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dZUw8_3QEZg/TfpI63ZbJeI/AAAAAAAADeU/Ut06JhDzpnc/s400/IMG_1123.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tZZivaWAmZU/TfpI6v3TvGI/AAAAAAAADeM/cW8biXcFrA0/s1600/IMG_1113.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618883659216174178" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tZZivaWAmZU/TfpI6v3TvGI/AAAAAAAADeM/cW8biXcFrA0/s400/IMG_1113.jpg" /></a> </div><br /><br /><div>Here's Jordan banging on the drum.
