We Love Apples!

I was pretty excited when I heard we were gonna get to go to an apple orchard this weekend. I love talking about "ap-pas" and really love to eat them. I vaguely remember going last year, mommy says she had fun watching me gather all of the apples I could but refused a bag to carry them. I see nothing funny about it, in fact- that's exactly the way I did it again this year. I really love to see how many items I can carry at one time.

The orchard we decided to go to was one we hit up last year, too. I was excited to play on the toys they had as well but mommy told us not to get too excited since the orchard had changed ownership. Lucky for us, it was for the better!

The new owners added some really cool features for kids. We got to see llamas, ostrich and sheep at the petting zoo, climb hay bails to the top of a huge pyramid, and play in the tee pees that had a tunnel connecting them.

I absolutely love to climb, so it was obvious that I would love the hay bail pyramids! Check out how high up I am and that's Jack at the bottom trying to climb up to me.

My brothers were a little leary about going into the tee pees but I assured them that mommy & daddy wouldn't steer us wrong. Then they reminded me that while at the doctors, never trust them though because they are always trying to get us poked and proded.

We ended up loving the tunnel and tee pees and the boys (especially Jordan) kept bolting back to them whenever they'd get the chance.

After playing and playing and playing, we finally agreed to go a pick some apples. Jordan has always been anti-apples but loves to refer to himself as "Apple" when he talks on the phone. He usually says "Hello, this is Apple". I'm assuming its his spy name, ya know for his top secret missions. Anyways- he surprised us all by grabbing his own apple off the tree and taking a big bite. Of course he also had to lick it each time just to make sure it still tasted the same before he would take another bite .

Jack has always loved apples and I think its really gone to his head, because since we've been home he's asked for an apple at least 5 times. He really just loves to sit around eating them.

Here's a few more shots from the day...we went with our entire extended family on mommy's side so we finally got a group photo of all of us, thank you to Vicki!

The Cape- Part II

During our stay at the Cape, we got to spend some time with our cousins that were also visiting from Oklahoma. It was fun playing at the beach with them because they are older then us and knew how to build sandcastles and dig big holes. We headed out the first day to Mayflower Beach, which is is great beach on the bayside, with warm water and a really long sandy beach (while the tide was out!). We played in little tide pools and found crabs, shells and even some seaweed.

On Tuesday, "Auntie" Sue and "Uncle" Mickey stayed with us, too. We headed out to Chapin Beach (also on the bayside) and decided to walk all the way to the very end of the sand (again, low tide) so we could jump the waves. We set up our umbrella, blankets, and chairs first and then walked to the edge of the water. Good thing mommy decided to carry me, because my little legs got tired just walking out there! The boys walked with everyone else and Jordan even got a lift towards the end, too.

After playing for about 20 minutes, Jordan asked to go back to our blanket for some juice so mommy took him. Good thing, too because the tide was coming in and we got stuck with all of our stuff out on a sandbar! Daddy, pepere and Mickey had to take all of our stuff across the water for us because it was too deep to carry ourselves. What an adventure!

We also spent a few days at the West Dennis Beach which was really close to our house. Spending time there meant a lot less of a beach to walk out on, but more shells to find which is my favorite part. I spent my time collecting shells and walking along the coastline with memere. All of us got brave the final day and actually walked out into the ocean up to our necks!

Here are a few pictures...Enjoy!

Family Photos

We just had our family photos taken by mommy's friend, Rachel of Brisham Photography. We weren't being very nice to poor Rachel (we needed to show her who's in charge at the Riplet's household) but she is really good and still could keep up with us. I think its because she's mommy to our new friend, Brighton who came over this week and had a play date with us.

Go to Brisham Photography's links below to see a preview of our photos!

Here's the family just click here.

This set is of just mommy & daddy so click here to see them.

More From Our Vacation

We are still really busy on our vacation. I thought I better take a break to check my emails and update you guys on what we are doing. We are back at Memere & Pepere's house, just relaxing and visiting family and friends. We've had rain for the past few days though, so I am going stir-crazy in the house. Luckily, daddy let me run wild outside this morning while Addie and Jack threw rocks into the storm drain. We also went to NH to Fun World yesterday to play. I loved that I could run around and play with all of the big kids there. Jack told me they weren't playing with me, but I think he just didn't see them. He said they were running "by" me, not with me.

Anyways- since its raining out, we don't have a lot of photos to show you. Instead, we have so many from the Cape we haven't shared yet, so here they are!

Happy Easter

HE IS RISEN!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We certainly did. We woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had been to our house and left us each a basket of goodies. Here are a few pictures of us digging through our stuff.

Notice- Jordan took all of our yogurt melts out of our baskets immediately. I was more concerned with what was in each of those plastic eggs in our baskets. Mommy had left some eggs in a basket Auntie Brittany and Uncle James brought us and I figured out how to open them. Guess what was inside?! Yogurt melts and puffs!! Now, I check every, single egg I see for snacks. Addison had fun looking at the books we got and also enjoyed eating all of the snacks I'd find us in the eggs.

We got to spend our afternoon with our cousins for a ham dinner at their house and then an Easter egg hunt. We got to find more of those great snack-filled eggs and run around the yard. Addison was more interested in eating leaves and licking trees though. I had to keep reminding her that there were treats inside the eggs to eat. We also went for a ride around in our choo choo wagon. Chris took us all over the area while the "big kid" egg hunt was going on. That way we got to see them looking and fighting over eggs they found. I wonder if they love yogurt melts as much as we do?

Here are some pictures of our fun day. Enjoy!
