Vacation at the Cape- Part I

Well, its that time of year again, when we pack up the ol' Trailblazer and head out to see memere & pepere. We love visiting them, but the drive out there can be a little long at times. Lucky for us, mommy & daddy surprised us with a new dual DVD player for the ride- so we spent our time watching every Sesame Street and Veggie Tale we owned.

This year, we left around 4am and made it all the way from Wisconsin to Erie, PA before we stopped for the night. Our room in Erie as at a Spring Hill Inn which was really a lot of fun! Mommy & daddy were a little sad about how it was set up, they thought they'd have a separate bedroom to put us in that night. Instead the suite had a jacuzzi (woo hoo!) and a livingroom area divided by a half wall. Jordan and I got to share the pull out couch while Addison, mommy & daddy shared the king size bed. While Addie and mommy attempted to sleep, us boys ran and ran and ran around the room getting into any kind of trouble we could find (daddy was there with us, but not amuzed).

The next morning we headed out for our final leg of the drive and arrived safely at Cape Cod by 6pm that night. We were so happy to get out and run around after 2 days cooped up in the car!

Here's a few pictures of us at the beach, we lucked out with gorgeous "beach weather" every, single day! (Mommy said there are A LOT more photos and stories but we'll end here for now, more to come so stick around!)

Enjoy...

The Children's Museum

While memere and pepere were here, we got to go to our local children's museum for the very first time! We tried to go once before, but ended up deciding against it because it was getting too late in the day. I'm so glad we waited to go with memere and pepere, because there was so much to do, we needed extra adults around just to keep us all together. Our children's museum has everything you could think of for kids our age, from coloring to a kid's grocery store (with a real cash register!) and our own post office. There was also a toddler section that had veggies and fruits that we could plant and harvest. Our favorite part of the museum had to be the water part though. The last spot of the day (mommy said it was a good thing, too because we were drenched by the end) was the water exhibit! We got to splash and splash and SPLASH all over the place. There were balls everywhere and we got to push boats around in the water, too. Daddy said next time we will need to bring a change of clothes because we each had to take off our shirts and just wear our jackets home because we were that wet. Mommy tried to get a few pictures of us (okay, really she took like 200 photos) but her camera was acting up and she said she only got a few that turned out. Lucky for us, her camera is now "in the shop" being repaired so we are off the hook for good pictures this week.

A Visit from Memere & Pepere!

Last week (while mommy headed to a girl's weekend to Savannah, GA), our memere and pepere flew out to see us from Boston. We were so excited to see them and I kept trying to figure out how they got out of our computer (we always Skype them, so seeing them on our laptop is how I always see them) and why don't they do that all of the time?

While they were visiting, the weather finally turned warm (for Wisconsin, that means in the 40's) and we decided to head for a walk to the nearest park. This was our first visit to any park this year and boy was I excited. Addison and Jordan were excited, too but I really wanted to swing and go down the slide so I figured I must've been the most excited. After playing for about 20 minutes, I accidentally fell down and landed in a huge puddle. I was really mad it happened, because everyone insisted we had to head home then because "poor Jack is going to freeze-to-death". I have to say, I doubt I would've froze to death but I guess grown ups know best.

Lucky for us, memere loves to take walks, so we got to go in our choo choo wagon every afternoon when we woke up from our naps. In fact- when mommy got home, we insisted she take us for walks each afternoon, too. If she tells us "no", we just tell her "bye bye! bye bye! bye bye! BYE! BYE!" until she finally gives in.

Besides spending a lot of time outside, we also got to enjoy some of memere and pepere's home cooking. Jordan was most excited about memere's chocolate chip cookies (I'm not gonna lie, I really loved them, too!). Daddy really loves pepere's red sauce and he even got to learn how to make the infamous meatballs that go into the sauce, too.

Here's a few pictures of the week. Mommy has a few more, but we're saving those for another post this week. Enjoy!

Here Comes Santa Claus...

Over the long weekend we got to enjoy some much needed time with memere & pepere. They came for Thanksgiving and stayed through Tuesday with us. During their visit we decided to take them with us to see Santa at the mall. Okay- truth be told- mommy and daddy wanted us to see Santa and none of us really wanted to see him. I bet you figured that out though from the photo mommy got of us above. NOT that we don't like Santa, but we didn't really like to sit on his lap while strange people jumped around trying to make us smile. We get enough of that at home from mommy's photo session.

Here we are waiting in line to see him...

We also went to the park one afternoon to swing and play. We took our choo choo wagon there, too and got to go for a walk. Mommy says she has A LOT more photos from memere & pepere's visit but since its my naptime those will have to wait until next post. You will notice I threw in a few extra shots of me because I'm posting. hehe
Here's a few photos from the afternoon. Enjoy!

Apples & Corn Mazes

Well, its that time of year again when mommy and daddy take us on new adventures on the weekends. On Sunday afternoon, we got to go to a winery and corn maze along with some more apple picking.
The corn maze at first wasn't very much fun...until we found out there was mud to play in along the path. Jordan and I decided we loved running in it and running through the maze with Daddy, Ba, and Uncle James. Addison, Auntie B, G'ma, and mommy were party poopers and only made it down one path on the maze and then turned around. I'm pretty sure it was because we were already way ahead of them, winning the race.

At the apple orchard, mommy and daddy took us down to the trees to pick some apples again. Unfortunately, they didn't know that people aren't allowed to pick their own apples at this one, so we got scolded and sent away. We all decided we'll never go back to that place again, how rude! Here's a few pictures mommy got of all of us before we were "escorted" off of the premises (not really, but that sounds really dramatic, don't you think?!).
Here I am telling Uncle James & Auntie B that we need to leave because we aren't supposed to be there.
Ba and Jordan picking an apple. Although, Jordan actually decided that anytime any of us picked an apple that he needed to put it back on the tree for us. He actually tried to set each apple that was on the ground back up on top of other apples. Some he even got to balance and stay!

Auntie B is 38 weeks pregnant here...only 2 more weeks to go until we get to meet Corndog (I know, what an odd name for their new baby- so glad they didn't name me!).

and finally...ME hanging out in one of the apple trees.
