We Love Apples!

I was pretty excited when I heard we were gonna get to go to an apple orchard this weekend. I love talking about "ap-pas" and really love to eat them. I vaguely remember going last year, mommy says she had fun watching me gather all of the apples I could but refused a bag to carry them. I see nothing funny about it, in fact- that's exactly the way I did it again this year. I really love to see how many items I can carry at one time.

The orchard we decided to go to was one we hit up last year, too. I was excited to play on the toys they had as well but mommy told us not to get too excited since the orchard had changed ownership. Lucky for us, it was for the better!

The new owners added some really cool features for kids. We got to see llamas, ostrich and sheep at the petting zoo, climb hay bails to the top of a huge pyramid, and play in the tee pees that had a tunnel connecting them.

I absolutely love to climb, so it was obvious that I would love the hay bail pyramids! Check out how high up I am and that's Jack at the bottom trying to climb up to me.

My brothers were a little leary about going into the tee pees but I assured them that mommy & daddy wouldn't steer us wrong. Then they reminded me that while at the doctors, never trust them though because they are always trying to get us poked and proded.

We ended up loving the tunnel and tee pees and the boys (especially Jordan) kept bolting back to them whenever they'd get the chance.

After playing and playing and playing, we finally agreed to go a pick some apples. Jordan has always been anti-apples but loves to refer to himself as "Apple" when he talks on the phone. He usually says "Hello, this is Apple". I'm assuming its his spy name, ya know for his top secret missions. Anyways- he surprised us all by grabbing his own apple off the tree and taking a big bite. Of course he also had to lick it each time just to make sure it still tasted the same before he would take another bite .

Jack has always loved apples and I think its really gone to his head, because since we've been home he's asked for an apple at least 5 times. He really just loves to sit around eating them.

Here's a few more shots from the day...we went with our entire extended family on mommy's side so we finally got a group photo of all of us, thank you to Vicki!

One Month from Today...

We'll be 3 years old!!

Can you believe it? Time really flies when you're having fun. I still remember the days of the NICU...all tiny (I was only 3lb 15oz) and cute in my little "B" hat UMass Memorial gave me (I was baby B, so they labeled my hat. Daddy insists it was a Redsox hat though becase of the "B").

Okay, okay so maybe I don't exactly remember the NICU or my birth or anything from 3 years ago, but I hear all about it from my mommy & daddy.

Anyways- mommy has been proctrastinating and finally tried to get a picture of the three of us together for our birthday invites. She was going to take us to a park and have us sit on a bench for a few seconds so she could try to get a good shot. Well as luck would have it, it was pouring rain the day she tried, so instead she was stuck trying to capture it indoors. Needless to say, it didn't go very smoothly. In fact, mommy referred to it as an "epic fail" whatever that means. Take a look at our best shot.
Notice we were bribed with cookies to sit on the bench. Sit we did. Look happy? Well...not so much.

After trying to make this photo work and knowing we didn't have much time to get our invites made, printed and then mailed out, mommy decided we are not sending invites out at all this year! (Way to go, Mommy-- we're only 3 and no invites already?!) SO- if you know us and want to come to our party it will be at our house on Sunday, October 23rd at 3pm.

All I have to say is, there better be cake, ice cream and presents at our party...the way mommy's going though, I'm a little nervous.

Loves & Losses *Sigh*

Times have been changing and boy does it make me mad. I remember the good ol' days (Spring of 2011) when I was surrounded by all things I loved. I'd go to college to see my boyfriend, Vinny (*sigh*) where I'd get to play with Elmo, watch Sesame Street, and get to "jump" and get thrown in the air as long as I wanted. I'd come home with my brothers and we'd get to play and play and then I'd ask for "Sesa" and mommy would let us watch more Sesame Street. I just took for granted that my brothers would let me watch Sesame Street.

I had no idea that one day they'd fall out-of-love with the show and insist on some (pardon my language) stupid train show. You guessed it. All. Day. Long. we have to hear Jack asking for "Tommy Train" and of course Jordan agrees. It didn't end there though, either. Mommy got out a train table and little wood trains and now I'm surrounded by "choo choos" and all things trains. I've learned to bite my tongue and just watch the show when its on, but believe me I'm not happy about it. What does a girl gotta do to get her some Elmo?!

The only thing worse then Thomas the Train is that my first and only love (okay- Elmo might've been my 1st but for this post lets set that aside), Vinny moved far, far away. So now I've lost Sesame Street and Vinny. Lucky for me I do love cookies and I've learned to ask for them whenever I need a lift...which is A LOT. I've also learned that mommy's phone can play me Will.i.am's song on Sesame Street so I usually will just grab it when I see it on the counter (stools work wonders to get me things I can't reach) and ask mommy for "Will".

I'm sure you'll hear a different side of the story from my brothers, but I just had to first let you know that I am not thrilled with the new changes around here! Since we have no photos of the boys watching Thomas or Vinny leaving (I obviously didn't want reminders of either) I'll leave you with a few pictures of us from this past weekend. Enjoy!
